I’ve been here multiple times and I have to say that I’ve always enjoyed coming back here each time.

The food is really good, and meats are really tender and enjoyable. There is also a wide variety of choices for people who choose from which is enjoyable with a larger group of people. They also offer jasmine tea for free when sat down at the table, which is quite nice as well.

Staff are quite nice as well, I can’t say I’ve had a bad experience with any person who has worked there.

Tables and bathrooms are clean as well.

Reasonable price for quality food. Roast duck noodle is our favourite. It's a shame there's no vegetable leaves in the soup anymore, you get a decent amount of meat only.

I was honestly shocked the moment I stepped inside and experienced the service. The attitude of the staff was unbelievably poor — something I hadn’t anticipated until I looked back at the reviews. This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in Chinatown.

If you’re curious to test your patience, this place will certainly challenge it. From the moment I arrived to the moment I paid, it was a display of rudeness and apathy. I even took photos of two of the staff members to document the behavior.

What surprised me most was the attitude of the elderly lady at the counter during payment. Her demeanor made it crystal clear where the toxic service culture stems from — it’s a top-down issue. The poor attitude trickles from the older staff to the younger ones, setting a tone of disrespect and indifference across the entire team.

Avoid this place unless you’re prepared to have your patience tested to the limit.

Great food, huge portions and very reasonably priced for the location. My partner is from HK and loves how authentic the dining experience there is. Knocked down a star as they gave me a glass that had a crack in it so my water spilled over our table. The glass also had a distinct smell of bleach so I wasn’t going to drink from it.

Wong Kei is a hallmark restaurant of Chinatown, famous for their great value Cantonese food and notorious for their rude staff. My family have been coming for at least a decade and it is hands down one of my favourite restaurants in Chinatown and perhaps all of London.

Every single dish is delicious, packed with flavour, and comes in a generous portion. Their cold meats on hot rice with BBQ sauce is a classic and an excellent way to try their char siu, pork belly, and duck all in one dish. Their black bean sauce is out of this world. I’ve had this with their steamed sea bass and their fried beef - both of which were succulent, tender, and delicious. One of my favourite dishes is their fried pork chop in chilli and salt. Juicy, crispy, and just amazing. Their noodles are great too. Ho fun is a classic and theirs is great. Have also had their Singapore fried noodle which is delicious. Another classic dish from them is their wonton noodle soup which is also good. Basically, every dish is a safe bet.

Their service may not be the most polite, but what they lack in manners they make up for in extreme efficiency. Seating is quick, food comes out very quickly, and payment is also quick. For those looking for a long meal to chat with friends this may not be best for that. They are also cash only but have no service charge. Also free Chinese tea for all guests. Overall, for a fully satisfying experience and a 100% recommend.
